Dorothy R. Morris, 89, of Decatur, IL passed away at 8:47 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Cremation rites were accorded. Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be sent in Dorothy’s memory to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
Mrs. Morris was born, September 26, 1922, the daughter of Leslie N. and Angeline (Aumann) McClaine. She had worked as a lunch supervisor for the Decatur School District. Dorothy was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church and attended Rock Springs Church of God. She married Merle V. Morris on October 2, 1958. He preceded her in death October 1, 1978.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter: Sandra Mix and her husband Robert of Kenney, IL, sister: Pauline Williams of Mt. Zion, IL, grandchildren: Joshua Jargon of Decatur, IL, Stefani Mix and Kristi Mix both of Kenney, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her step-son; Merle E. Morris and her sister; Hazel Kottwicz.
The family would like give special thanks to the staff of Liberty Village in Clinton, IL for their loving care of Dorothy.

Sandy and family:
We are so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. It is almost eerie that we were talking about Merle and Dorothy thiis evening and decided to "Google" Dorothy's name. We were shocked to see her obituary and learn that she had just passed three days ago..
